Olicity & Team Arrow Artwork — Season 2

Given that new Promo Photos for Arrow Season 2 Episode 1 ‘City of Heroes’ were released this week (I’m in Australia, so forgive me for not stating a day — I can’t be bothered working out the day in the US that they were released). If you haven’t seen them, most of them can be found:

So, after getting super excited over the fact that there’s new photos — most of which are Olicity orientated, btw — I decided to get back into creating some Art.  I haven’t done so in like a month. Which is bad. For me, anyway. But honestly I blame my laptop’s hard drive corrupting itself (and still is — I’m using another laptop in the meantime, however all my Arrow pictures were lost and also Photoshop. So I didn’t do any for a while. Until today. When I remembered my PC I only use now for my iPod syncing has Photoshop Editor.)

Anyway, enough with the weird rambling. God, I sound/write like Felicity sometimes…

Here’s the results of my hard work. Copyright on the original images has been put in the captions — that goes to the CW. I do however request that you REFRAIN FROM POSTING THESE ANYWHERE UNLESS YOU HAVE MY PERMISSION. It took me several hours to create them. I’m picky, so what? I put in the effort to make them, I deserve to be picky. (‘Right Click’ then ‘Open in a new tab’ to view the images bigger.)

Olicity/Arrow Song Playlist — Updated

So this Playlist started out quite small, & has grown over the last few days to approximately 376 songs! Wow! Originally it was going to be songs that remind me of Olicity, but the more I thought about it, I decided to expand it to cover Arrow in general. These are songs I already love & are on my iPod, plus a couple that I discovered through watching Olicity fan vids on YouTube.

The following is a list of the songs, in Alphabetical Order — not just by Artist, but by Songs as well. There’s a range of artists on here — some are American, some Australian, and some British. If you haven’t heard of them, I recommend that you check them out. Forgive me for having multiple songs in the same dot point — it’s easier when typing this up to bunch them up like that.

If you have any songs that you’d recommend to have on this list, please feel free to tell me. I’m always looking for new music.

In the mean time, enjoy!

  • Jai Ho — A.R. Rahman/The Pussycat Dolls
  • Hiding My Heart; I Can’t Make You Love Me (Live); I’ll Be Waiting;  Make You Feel My Love; One & Only; Rumour Has It; Someone Like You— Adele
  • Laying Around; Say That; The Air That I Breathe — Alexis Jordan
  • Chemicals React; In A Second; Never Far Behind; Shine — Aly & AJ
  • Never Know — Amie (if you have trouble finding this, it’s credited as Bob Gentry on a lot of sites. I heard this song a while ago in an episode of Bones and they credited the song to Gentry, & it took me a while to find a good recording of it. I’m happy to share the song with people if they want it.)
  • Try (from the Fame movie — the recent remake) — Asher Brooke
  • Darlin’; Everybody Hurts; I Love You; Keep Holding On; Smile; Stop Standing There; When You’re Gone; Wish You Were Here; 4 Real — Avril Lavigne
  • I Won’t Ever Lose You Again; Lego House; Loveless; Parachute; Paradise Calling (both Studio & Acoustic versions); Run; The Only Exception — Ben Hazlewood (he’s an amazing singer. He’s from New Zealand, but really got noticed after getting into The Voice Australia Season 1 2012. He did really well, getting almost to the Grand Final. Lego House is a cover of Ed Sheeran’s song, which Ben sang for The Voice Aus — & I love it just as much as the original.)
  • Lanterns — Birds Of Tokyo
  • Fire & Rain; Terrible Love; Skinny Love; People Help The People; What You Want — Birdy
  • Both Of Us — B.O.B ft. Taylor Swift
  • Skinny Love — Bon Iver (I included this for 2 reasons — 1. My sister would be appalled if I didn’t include the original; 2. I hate to admit it, but I like the original too. Just don’t mention that to my sister.)
  • Two Is Better Than One — Boys Like Girls ft. Taylor Swift
  • Everything But You; Like Only A Woman Can; Wrap My Arms — Brian McFadden
  • Grenade; Just The Way You Are — Bruno Mars
  • Unforgettable — Caitlin Stacey & Dean Geyer (I’m sure the Americans reading this may recognise Dean Geyer — he played Brody in Glee last season. Well, this is from before he got super famous in the US. For a while he was on Neighbours, an Australian soapie. This is a song he & fellow cast mate Caitlin sang for a storyline — which, due to its surprise popularity, they released the studio version)
  • Wherever You Will Go (both Studio & Acoustic versions) — The Calling
  • Everytime We Touch (Yanous Candlelight Mix); What Hurts The Most — Cascada
  • Wherever You Will Go — Charlene Soraia (yes, it’s the song by The Calling. But this cover’s too amazing to not include.)
  • A Thousand Years (Pt. 2 — feat. Steve Kazee); Distance (feat. Jason Mraz) — Christina Perri (I really loathe Twilight, yet I love A Thousand Years. Weird.)
  • You Make Me Happy — Clare Bowditch ft. Eddie Perfect (used quite frequently in Offspring, an Aussie drama series, due to Eddie Perfect being in the cast and Clare guest starred. Eddie doesn’t get much credit for the background vocals though…)
  • Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall; Fix You; Lost; Lovers In Japan/Reign of Love; Princess of China (ft. Rihanna); The Scientist; Viva La Vida — Coldplay
  • Take Me (Acoustic) — Craig Horner (he’s an amazing Aussie, who also acts…. occasionally… he hasn’t really been in much lately… this is one of his recent songs. A demo that can be found on YouTube.)
  • Dark Side; It’s Time; Somewhere Only We Know; Teenage Dream (Acoustic) — Darren Criss (these are all from Glee — I love his versions of the fist three over the originals. And note the ‘acoustic’ on the last one — that’s because they did it twice on the show, this one being the second, more emotionally fuelled one. Though I love the first version they did.)
  • Bloodstained Heart; Crash & Burn; Don’t Give Up; Hold Me; On The Verge of Something Wonderful; Roses; So Beautiful; Taken By The Sea; Truly Madly Deeply — Darren Hayes (three of these you’ll probably find under the band ‘Savage Garden’ (they are ‘Crash & Burn’, ‘Hold Me’ & ‘Truly Madly Deeply’). Darren was the lead singer of that band, until moving on as a solo artist.)
  • Titanium — David Guetta ft. Sia.
  • Give Your Heart A Break — Dean Geyer & Lea Michele (Glee)
  • Believe Again; Be Strong; Born To Try; Burn For You (Cover — Live); Child Of The Universe; Control; Days Go By; Electric Storm; Flying Without Wings (Live — with Brian McFadden); Heart Hypnotic; Hypnotized; I Don’t Care; If I Forget (Demo); In This Life; Last Night On Earth; Lost Without You; Lost Without You (ft. Darren Hayes); Possessionless; Right Here In My Heart; Right Here With You (with Olivia Newton-John); Right There Waiting (Demo); Rise; Safe To Believe (Acoustic); Sitting On Top Of The World; The Speed of Life; Take Me Home; Together We Are One; Touch; Uncovered; Waiting For Forever; War On Love; Will You Fall For Me; Without Words — Delta Goodrem (yes, there’s a lot there! But this amazing Aussie singer is one of my Idols. And there’s a lot of her songs. Look her up.)
  • Kissing You — Des’ree (absolutely amazing song. Love it soooooo much!)
  • Autumn Leaves; Give Me Love; Kiss Me; Lego House; Skinny Love (Acoustic); Sofa; Wake Me Up — Ed Sheeran (all amazing songs, all his own songs except Skinny Love — which features on this list a lot. But there’s 3 really great versions of it around, each deserving to be on here as the others.)
  • Breaking The Law (Alternate Version); Breaking The Law; Next To Me — Emeli Sandè (okay, so the first two are the same song — the ‘Alternate’ version is my absolute favourite version of it though. So I recommend you listen to that one.)
  • Your Song — Ewan McGregor & Alessandro Safina (from Moulin Rouge!)
  • When She’s Near — Fiction Family
  • Never Let Me Go — Florence & The Machine (I honestly CAN’T believe I forgot this one from my original list! I am ashamed!)
  • The Fighter; How To Save A Life; Look After You; Never Say Never; You Found Me — The Fray
  • Follow Through; We Belong Together — Gavin DeGraw
  • More Than Words (Acoustic — ft. Jay Loftus); New Religion (Demo) — Gia Farrell
  • Locked Out Of Heaven; We Found LoveGlee Cast (though I do give credit to the originals)
  • Closer — Glenn Cunningham (another Aussie, also from The Voice Australia Season 1, 2012. This is a cover from the show, Can’t remember who the original is by.)
  • Art Of Love — Guy Sebastian feat. Jordin Sparks
  • The Fighter — Gym Class Heroes ft. Ryan Tedder
  • Unconditional — Harrison Craig (Another The Voice Australia artist, winner of Season 2 (2013). This is his winner’s single. It’s truly amazing. A must listen to.)
  • One In This World — Haylie Duff (which can be found on the A Cinderella Story soundtrack)
  • Danger; Love Just Is; Now You Know; Outside Of You; Reach Out (feat. The Prophet); Someone’s Watching Over Me (Extended — Raise Your Voice version); Supergirl; With Love; Whose That Girl (Acoustic) — Hilary Duff
  • The Reason — Hoobastank
  • Collide (both the Studio & Acoustic Versions); She Says — Howie Day (works for pretty much any ship duo, really)
  • Bleeding Out; Demons; Fallen; Hear Me; On Top Of The World; Radioactive; Underdog — Imagine Dragons (Radioactive got me into the band — I’d heard It’s Time (after Glee introduced that to me) but didn’t find them appealing till Radioactive. Yes, I’m aware it features in the Arrow episode, Darkness on the Edge of Town — but frankly, I HATE the scene they used it in. Besides, Radioactive just screams Oliver to me. It’s my personal Arrow theme song. And I just added Fallen into the list after hearing it this afternoon. Still getting to know most of the songs on their album.)
  • Afterglow — INXS
  • The Real Me — Jaci Velasquez (an amazing song. I know, I know, I say that about all of these songs. But I’m right about them all, damn it!)
  • Arithmetic; People Help The People; Skyscraper; Smoke — Jackie Sannia (another The Voice Australia artist, from Season 2 (2013). Jackie is amazing — I swear she’s like the Aussie version of Birdy… These are all from the show — the last one being her Blind Audition song. So totally worth listening to.)
  • If Time Is All I Have; I’ll Be Your Man; Fall At Your Feet (Acoustic) — James Blunt
  • My Sunshine — James O’Dea (okay, so this is a little bit of an odd one in this list. It was recorded for a soundtrack to the Australian-Canadian co-production TV series for ‘tweens’, The Saddle Club (& is found on the On Top of the World album, just so you know). But I had to include it for 2 reasons — 1. I love it so damn much. And, more importantly, 2. James is my boyfriend. So… yeah.)
  • I’m Yours; I Won’t Give Up (Demo); I Won’t Give Up (studio version); Living In The Moment; The Woman I Love (studio version) — Jason Mraz. (I Won’t Give Up has two very different sounding versions. Both are worth listening to.)
  • Beautiful Soul; Just So You Know; Right Where You Want Me (Bermudez & Harris OnStar Remix Radio Edit]) Why Don’t You Kiss Her? — Jesse McCartney (don’t judge me for loving these ones! And there’s the Remix of Right Where You Want Me as that’s the only version I have of it.)
  • Been Waiting — Jessica Mauboy (Aussie singer/actress.)
  • Breathe, Dream, Pray, Love (ft. Delta Goodrem & Mark Masri) — Jim Brickman (the latter only gets credit cos its his album — Delta & Mark do the singing)
  • Faith; Freeze; Next To You; No Air (ft. Chris Brown); One Step At A Time; Worth The Wait — Jordin Sparks
  • I Missed You; I’d Rather Be With You — Joshua Radin (an amazing artist)
  • No Boundaries; Taking Chances — Kara DioGuardi (both are demo versions of songs released by other artists (& I’m assuming recorded before the others were released). Personally, though, Kara’s versions rule.)
  • Faded; If This Is Love; Maybe Tonight; You Brought The Sunshine — Kate DeAraugo
  • Roar; Teenage Dream — Katy Perry
  • Angel; Dark Side; Standing In Front Of You; The Sun Will Rise (ft. Kara DioGuardi); The War Is Over; What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) — Kelly Clarkson (her version of Dark Side is good, even though I do like Darren Criss’ cover better — however, her one gives a feminine view to it, so worth a listen. The rest of the ones there are amazing.)
  • Loveable; No Matter What (Acoustic); Rescue Me (How The Story Ends); Without Love — Kerrie Roberts (okay, so these were released on a Once Upon A Time EP by Kerrie. Rescue Me was used (&, as far as I can recall, written for) Once Upon A Time (the TV series). I spent ages tracking these songs down after hearing RM in the promo for OUAT. They were a bit slow in bringing it to the Aussie iTunes Store. All of them I recommend you listen to.)
  • Use Somebody — Kings Of Leon (it speaks for itself)
  • Beneath Your Beautiful — Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandè (I’ve always loved this song, but I really didn’t pick up on it being linked to Arrow & Olicity until I saw a video a fan made on YouTube with it. Now every time I hear the song, I think of Olicity & Arrow.)
  • As You Turn Away; Dancin’ Away With My Heart; Heart of the World; Just A Kiss; Need You Now — Lady Antebellum
  • All That I’m Asking For; Hanging By A Moment (Acoustic); Hanging By A Moment (Studio Version); Halfway Gone; You & Me (Extended Wedding Version) — Lifehouse (Also, Hanging By A Moment (acoustic) is quite good.)
  • Overjoyed; Stay For A Minute; Un Giorno Per Noi (A Time For Us) — Luke Kennedy (he was Runner Up in the 2013 The Voice Australia, behind Harrison Craig. All of these were sung on the show. He is absolutely amazing! Normally I don’t like the Opera sound, but… GOD! Wait till you hear Luke! Stunning.)
  • Everyone’s Waiting; Hidden Ones; The Special Two; Warm Whispers — Missy Higgins (another Aussie singer. The first one is more about Oliver & the show in general.)
  • 1000 Stars; Alive; Love Like This; Someday Soon; Superhuman; Supersensual — Natalie Bassingthwaite (another Aussie!)
  • Far Away — Nickleback
  • Come What May — Nicole Kidman & Ewan McGregor (Moulin Rouge! Soundtrack)
  • Don’t Give Up; Miracle of You; Only When I Need You; To Have And To Have To Let Go; Walking On Sunshine — Nikki Webster (Aussie)
  • Army of Two; One Of These Days; Please Don’t Let Me Go; Runaway; Sliding Doors; Troublemaker (ft. Flo Rida) — Olly Murs (Runaway seems like an odd choice, but listen closely to the lyrics — it’ll make sense. Troublemaker I see as more Felicity’s POV about Oliver.)
  • All This Time; Burning Bridges; Counting Stars; Feel Again; Good Life; If I Lose Myself; Marchin On; Secrets; Something I Need — OneRepublic (Secrets is more an Oliver song. Good Life — I dare you to listen to that and replace ‘Good’ with ‘Hood’. Do it.)
  • I Hope You Think Of Me; Enchanted (Cover/Response to Taylor Swift) — Owl City
  • Try; Whataya Want From Me; Who Knew — Pink
  • Mamma Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) — Pixie Lott
  • Rhythm Of Love — Plain White T’s
  • Burn Your Name; I’m On Your Side — Powderfinger
  • Angel; Hearts A Mess; It Could Be You — Rachael Leahcar (another The Voice Australia 2012 artist. Absolutely amazing angel voice. Even more amazing live — I got to see her almost a year ago now. Stunning.)
  • Only You — Rachael Luttrell (I discovered this Rachael through her acting — Stargate Atlantis. In one episode, they got her to sing an original song called Beyond The Night (also worth listening to). She did such a fab job, they actually had to ask her back as it was too perfect for her character! She released an album a few years back. This was the single from it.)
  • Being Human; Bombshell; Breathe; Burn It Down; Can’t Sing A Different Song; Come & Get In Trouble With Me (explicit); Do It Like That; I Feel Love; Look At Me Now; Love Is All Around; Never Let Go; Parachute; Real Good Time; The Scientist (Cover — Live); Sunshine; Tell Him — Ricki-Lee Coulter (another amazing Aussie! Listen to them all!)
  • Hold On Tight — Rie Sinclair
  • Holding On & Letting Go — Ross Copperman
  • Letting You Know — Saskia Hampele (This is an AMAZING Australian actress/singer. She made this for Neighbours (an Australian soap drama TV series) & due to fans loving it in the show, they released it through iTunes. Only available in Australian & UK iTunes though…)
  • Hold On (Acoustic) — Sad Robot
  • Catching Up; Cities; Come So Far; Give Me Your Heart; Lay Me Down; Messenger; Save Us Tonight; She Said; Survival; Take Me Home — Sam Clark (he’s an Aussie singer/songwriter/actor, whose currently in LA trying to crack into the acting world there. Every single song of his is amazing. This is just a few of them.)
  • We Won’t Run — Sarah Blasko
  • Good Ol’ Days; Glowing; Hall of Fame (ft. Will.I.am); I’m Yours; Millionaires; Walk Away — The Script
  • Don’t Give Up — Shannon Noll & Natalie Bassingthwaite (a cover by two Aussies)
  • Breathe Me — Sia (Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! WOOOO! 😀 Fab song — it’s how I got into her music)
  • Save You — Simple Plan
  • Chasing Cars; Just Say Yes; Open Your Eyes; Run; Take Back The City; The Planets Bend Between Us; You Could Be Happy — Snow Patrol
  • A Change Is Coming; Catching My Breath; The Night Of My Life; Sink Like A Stone — Stephanie McIntosh (Another Aussie)
  • The Blues; Dare You To Move; Dare You To Move (Orchestral); Learning to Breathe; On Fire; Only Hope; This Is Home  — Switchfoot (the difference between the two versions of Dare You To Move is that the latter is mixed with an Orchestra. It gives the song a very different feel, and is definitely worth checking out.)
  • Everything Has Changed; Everything Has Changed (Remix) — Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran (okay, so both versions are listed because they’re, well, f-ing awesome. Ed sings more in the ‘remix’. I love both versions equally. Hence why both make this list.)
  • Breathless; Come Back… Be Here; Come In With The Rain; Enchanted; Eyes Open; Fearless; Holy Ground; I Knew You Were Trouble; Jump Then Fall; Love Story; Long Live; Never Mind (Studio Demo); The Other Side Of The Door; Ours; Safe & Sound; Sparks Fly; State Of Grace; State of Grace (Acoustic); Today Was A Fairytale; You Belong With Me; Untouchable; Untouchable (Clear Channel Stripped Version) — Taylor Swift (all of them deserve to be heard)
  • Next To You — Tim Easton
  • Running Up That Hill — Track & Field (so there’s like heaps of covers of this song — this one is one of them — but this is by far my favourite one. It was suggested the band was put together to especially sing this for Warehouse 13 (in which it was used in a very dramatic moment, & where I heard this version). I picture very dramatic moments from Arrow when I was thinking about including this song on this list — you know, like what happens in Sacrifice.)
  • Brick By Brick; Bruises (ft. Ashley Monroe); Bruises (Live — ft. Delta Goodrem); Marry Me (First Dance Mix); Marry Me; Parachute (Alternative Version); Umbrella; When I Look To The Sky — Train (firstly, I’ve included both versions of Bruises — the first is the official version, heard on the album. The second is from Train’s recent(ish) tour in Australia — Ashley Monroe didn’t come over with them, so they asked Delta Goodrem to sing it with them at their Sydney gigs. Umbrella is their take on Rihanna’s song — so amazing.)
  • One (feat. Mary J. Blige); With Or Without You — U2 (just cause you can’t not have this on here)
  • Amazing; Hazardous (Kill Bill Version); Mr Mysterious; Perfect; Show Me How To Love; The Simple Things (Something Emotional); Soldier Man — Vanessa Amorosi (the second one is a ballard/stripped down version, which I think works better for the song.)
  • Everything I Need — The Veronicas (another Aussie group)
  • Hit You With The Real Thing — Westlife
  • Woman In Love — Young Divas
  • Here Without You — 3 Doors Down

And there we go! That’s all of them!

Feel free to let me know if there’s anything you think should be on here! I’d love to see what you think!

Olicity Song Playlist

Since it’s Arrow day here in Australia (I’ve nearly seen all of Season 1, woo!) I got thinking about songs that remind me of Olicity. Cos that’s basically the heart of my obsession with Arrow. Well… that and Oliver’s abs…. lol.

Anyway, I thought I’d post the list I’ve come up with so far. Feel free to let me know if you think there’s other songs I should have on here. I’m going to put the playlist on my iPod so I can listen to the songs whenever I want. Most of them are ones already on my iPod, cos I love them, but some are ones I’ve found from watching Olicity videos on YouTube. Some are both. And please excuse the huge amount of Australian songs on the list — I love my Aussie artists.

  • Radioactive — Imagine Dragons [I’ve always considered it to be my personal ‘Arrow’ theme, even though I know they use it when Oliver & Laurel hook up — WORST SCENE TO USE IT IN GUYS! SERIOUSLY!]
  • Demons — Imagine Dragons
  • Burn It Down — Ricki-Lee Coulter (she’s Australian, like me, and I recommend you all listen to the songs from her on this list)
  • Come & Get In Trouble With Me — Ricki-Lee Coulter
  • Never Let Go — Ricki-Lee Coulter
  • Parachute — Ricki-Lee Coulter

  • Uncovered — Delta Goodrem
  • Sitting On Top of the World — Delta Goodrem
  • Roses — Darren Hayes
  • Taken By The Sea — Darren Hayes
  • Wherever You Will Go — Charlene Soraia (plus the original song by The Calling)
  • Skinny Love — Birdy (and I’ll give credit to Bon Iver, the original, cos I know my sister would protest. Oh, and Ed Sheeran does a great cover too)
  • Parachute — Ben Hazlewood
  • I Won’t Ever Lose You Again — Ben Hazlewood
  • Hearts A Mess — Rachael Leahcar
  • Titanium — David Guetta & Sia
  • Troublemaker — Olly Murs
  • Use Somebody — Kings of Leon
  • A Thousand Years — Christina Perri
  • Distance — Christina Perri ft. Jason Mraz
  • Beneath Your Beautiful — Labyrinth ft. Emeli Sande

  • Breaking The Law (Alternative Version) — Emeli Sande
  • Holding On & Letting Go — Ross Copperman

  • Everything Has Changed — Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran (the original and ‘remix’)
  • Enchanted, I Knew You Were Trouble, and Ours — Taylor Swift
  • Give Me Love, Autumn Leaves, Kiss Me, Sofa, & pretty much every other song by Ed Sheeran
  • Both Of Us — B.O.B ft. Taylor Swift
  • Bruises — Train (I recommend either the album version, with Ashley Monroe, or there’s a Live one on YouTube featuring the gorgeous Australian Delta Goodrem from when Train was out in Aus not long ago)
  • Take Me (acoustic) — Craig Horner
  • Unconditional — Harrison Craig

That’s all I can think of now. I’ll be back later to add some more.

EDIT:

Okay, thought of a few more songs.

  • Terrible Love — Birdy (although that’s more just Oliver than Olicity)
  • Walk Away, I’m Yours, Hall Of Fame — The Script
  • Lay Me Down — Sam Clark
  • Come Back… Be Here, & Never Mind (studio Demo) — Taylor Swift
